"2020 testing laboratory intercomparison event"

Hoytom´s facilities will host the intercomparison on hardness, strength and extensometry from 10 to 18 March 2020.

Hoytom, an accredited ENAC testing laboratory, has been chosen to host the intercomparison event for ENAC accredited hardness, strength and extensometry testing laboratories from 10 to 18 March 2020, which is held every 4 years. Over the 9-day period, 17 laboratories from throughout Spain will intercompare their calibration instrument results, using Hoytom brand testing machines and hardness testers.

The conference aims to assess calibration performance, and thereby ensure the technical competence of the different laboratories. It will assess measurement and calibration estimates. And will also identify potential issues at laboratories with the aim of developing corrective action. All in compliance with the requirements of Standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Section 5.9 and NT-03 on ENAC intercomparison policy.

In addition to the technical and quality reasons for the calibration service that the laboratories provide to their customers, the event is motivated by a desire to create synergies between participants and share differences, calibration methods and experiences between laboratories.
